Skilled Nursing Fund
The Skilled Nursing fund was developed to assist residents in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) at Northern Regional Hospital
Contributions to this fund are often designated in honor or in memory of current or former SNF residents.
Northern Regional Foundation has recently launched a Skilled Nursing Center Capital Campaign with a fundraising goal of $1,000,000. The focus of this capital campaign is patient safety and quality of care. This capital campaign will include complete renovation of all 33 Skilled Nursing rooms, a new nurses’ station, a new barber shop and beauty salon, and a complete renovation of the shower room that will offer more shower space and better accessibility. This renovation will also provide more space in each patient room and will focus on creating a home-like atmosphere for our residents. The design has been completed, and with successful fundraising, we hope to begin construction in the fall of 2023.
As you know, our Skilled Nursing Center is ranked as one of the best nursing facilities in the country. In 2022, the Northern Skilled Nursing Center was designated as a CMS 5-Star Facility. Additionally, the American College of Health Care Administrators honored Jenny Triplett, RN, BSN, Director of the Northern Skilled Nursing Center with the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award. Only 3% of facilities nationwide met the initial selection criteria. Most recently, the Northern Skilled Nursing Center was listed in the Top 25 US News Best Nursing Homes in NC for 2022-2023. Thousands of residents and families have been touched over the years by our Skilled Team.
